Questions and Answers
You can only choose and connect with an object that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
No. You must be a professional cultural creator/researcher with experience.
Yes. There can be more than one applicant, then you can share the scholarship and residency. But; two people can then stay only for two weeks instead of four. The applicant must also be able to justify why there are two or more applicants and how the project can be completed in, for example, two instead of four weeks. All additional costs must also be borne by the scholarship holders themselves; extra travel for example. The scholarship only covers travel and accommodation for ONE person.
Yes. You can bring a family member. But costs must then be paid for by other companions; e.g. hotel room, food, transport. The scholarship holder must also make arrangements with the farm owner for access to a room/space in an apartment. Pets cannot come with them.
The seven farmhouses that are part of the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland are spread out across four different municipalities. The communications are not optimal. We assume that the scholarship holder will visit and use the farms in their project. If you do not have a driver's license, it will be difficult. Based on the proposed project, the jury will assess whether it is possible to implement it without being able to visit the farms.
It is to make the project as clear as possible.
The World Heritage scholarship goes to the person with the most exciting, sharpest and realistic idea. It is our experience that some applicants want as much as possible to be included in the project, which sometimes makes the project impossible to implement in four weeks. If the idea is good, but unfeasible, it will still not be approved. It is also important to make the project understandable to the assessors by being as specific as possible.
No. It is not possible to apply for more money from Region Gävleborg. Planning and budget must be so consistent that the funds are sufficient for the current project. You can of course apply for co-financing from elsewhere.
