- Samantha Ohlanders och Linnea Aall Campbell 2020
The 2020 World Heritage Scholarship/Residence went to Samantha Ohlanders and Linnea Aall Campbell for the recording and concert project Ringing Banquet Halls - The Music of the World Heritage Site.

Folk musicians Samantha Ohlanders and Linnea Aall Campbell both grew up in the bustling music scene in Hälsingland and have made themselves known as two of the region's foremost practitioners of the new generation of folk musicians. Now they are returning to their traditions and investigating the music and culture connected to the World Heritage Site Hälsinge Farms.
– With this recording and concert program, we want to broaden the image of the World Heritage Site Hälsinge Farms and try to convey a deeper understanding of the culture connected to the farms - what role they have and can have in our society today.
The recordings were made last summer in five of the World Heritage sites' banquet halls and have been woven together with material from the Hälsingland folk music archive.
– We want to place ourselves and our music directly into a historical context and thus bring the chain of tradition to life. Voices, music, stories and experiences from different times resonate together and create a sound dimension of the World Heritage Farms in Hälsingland.
From the scholarship motivation:
"The World Heritage Music is an artistic project - in the midst of the present - and yet deeply rooted in cultural history. With a strong awareness of the tension that exists between these poles, Samantha Ohlanders and Linnea Aall Campbell will fill the rooms of the World Heritage Hälsingegårdar with new life and new music."
